Paula’s 365challenge year ends on a marathon high!
I’m pleased to report that another 365er has just completed her 365challenge year, raising a wonderful £1115 (and still growing) for Cancer Research UK. Paula Fletcher, decided, on the occasion of her 40th birthday last year, to announce that she was going to take on the 365challenge, with a target of running the equivalent of 36.5 marathons (956 miles) over the course of her 365challenge year … and,d’you know what … she DID … and more! Her final mileage total was 1025 miles (that’s over 39 marathon distances), and she hit the 1000 mile milestone after the first mile of the actual Edinburgh marathon (her first full marathon of the year). What an achievement … and she’s now looking to continue running and competing in even more marathons, so the 365challenge has a lot to answer for!
